📋 Tender Overview
CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Cagayan Valley has stepped up efforts to promote efficient and transparent public service delivery by equipping local government units (LGUs) with essential digital governance skills through a series of eLGU Capacity Training sessions. DICT Regional Director Pinky T. Jimenez said the initiative aims to ensure that LGUs are Always Connected, Always Ready to Serve, as it brought together personnel from Business Permits and Licensing Offices (BPLOs) and Municipal Treasurers Offices (MTOs) across the region to strengthen their readiness for digital transformation. Jimenez said the training sessions were conducted during the first week of December at the 3K Hotel in Santiago City, Isabela, and the NGN Hotel in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. Participants received hands-on training on the use of the eLGU System and the eGovPH App, key platforms designed to streamline government transactions and improve public access to services. She added that the sessions were led by the eLGU Regional Support Team and included discussions on cyber hygiene and an overview of Republic Act No. 12254, or the E-Governance Act, highlighting the importance of data security, accountability, and a strong legal framework in digital service delivery. Through this initiative, DICT Region II continues to empower LGUs to adopt smarter, faster, and more citizen-centered systems, underscoring our commitment to inclusive digital governance and ensuring that no community is left behind in the spirit of digital bayanihan, Jimenez said.
