Denmark New Mudp Tender

MUDP has granted approx. 81 million DKK for 37 new projects which are ready with their bid for the environmental technology of the future to solve the nature and climate crisisTechnology that washes jet engine air pollution away from runways at airports a skimmer that collects oil spills from ships and a device that counteracts mold formation and kills bacteria as well as corona viruses on packaging - is just a small selection and a foretaste of what the future holds can bring of new environmental technology.The Environmental Technology Development and Demonstration Program MUDP partly supports the broader environmental agenda including clean water clean air and safe chemistry but also the governments objectives within climate nature and the circular economy. The funds come from a grant from the Finance Act and from the Research Reserve which is distributed every year.- Our nature is in crisis and we face major climate and environmental challenges. If we are to achieve the governments ambitious goals for our climate and nature then it requires new solutions and all tools must be in use. The Danish companies are fortunately world-class when it comes to developing green technology. And MUDP is an important tool for translating ideas into action in the years to come. I am already looking forward to the many groundbreaking results says Minister of the Environment Lea Wermelin.Hard prioritizationOut of 112 applications for the regular round 37 have come through the eye of the needle including 16 ETV Environmental Technology Verification projects and preliminary projects that received support earlier this year. In total approx. 284 million DKK and even though MUDP in 2021 has a record grant of 146 mill. The Board of Directors has had to make a hard prioritization between the many qualified applications.-Again this year we are experiencing great interest in receiving a share of the funds from MUDP and we have received applications for far more than the amount we have available. This testifies to the fact that we in Denmark are at the forefront of the development of the environmental technology of the future says MUDPs Chairman of the Board Malou Aamund and continues- Therefore we are pleased that small and large companies that lack the last push on the road to realize their ideas seek MUDP support and help us one step closer to solving the environmental and climate challenges of the future.In the prioritization emphasis has been placed on the projects potential to support the implementation of the Climate Act the Climate Action Plan and the green research strategy.
