The government and the Folketing parties have agreed on a new, large military donation package for Ukraine. The package has a value of approximately DKK 1.7 billion and secures, among other things, 15,000 artillery shells in cooperation with the Czech Republic.
Artillery ammunition, air defense, mine clearance and drones. This is one of the things to be financed with a new, large military donation package of approximately DKK 1.7 billion. This is the 15th donation package of military equipment to Ukraine.
Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said:
Ukraine continues to have a great need for support, including not least artillery ammunition. With donation package XV, Denmark contributes financially to the purchase of weapons and ammunition. Both through other countries, including the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, and through a continuation of the good and important cooperation with the Danish defense industry.
Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen says:
The war in Ukraine is entering its third year, and here the continued military support to Ukraine is absolutely crucial to the outcome of the war. Therefore, I am pleased that we, in cooperation with close partners and with broad support from the Danish Parliament, are now making yet another significant contribution to the Ukrainians on the battlefield, who are fighting for not only Ukraine's freedom, but the security of the whole of Europe," says Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
Through contacts with the Czech Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Defence has financed the purchase of 15,000 155mm artillery munitions, which will be delivered to Ukraine within a few months.
In addition, equipment and ammunition are donated to Ukraine's air defense, mine clearance and drones. The donation package includes radars, communication equipment and drone equipment from Danish companies.

I am pleased that so many Danish companies support Ukraine's defense struggle. I regularly talk to representatives from the Danish defence industry about how we can make better use of the business community's knowledge and capacity in relation to military donations to Ukraine. Danish-produced equipment is in great demand by Ukraine.
