Denmark Innovative Solution Tender

Land Transport Authority LTA the statutory board of Government of Singapore responsible for planning and maintaining Singapores land transport infrastructure and systems was looking for innovative and efficient solutions to collect traffic data nationwide. Rambolls global Smart Mobility division won the major traffic survey project valued more than 2.5 million Singapore dollars 1.7 million euros from Land Transport Authority LTA.Rambolls winning proposal has provided LTA with an innovative and sustainable solution which reduces the manpower requirements as compared to traditional survey methods. The surveys will be fully conducted with video recording equipment and video analytic technologies. After setting up specialised traffic survey cameras which activate automatically during specified survey hours videos collected will be analysed with vehicle recognition software by engineers from Ramboll and our partners to obtain traffic data.Smart sensors and big data analytics make the collection of traffic data much more efficient.
