π Tender Overview
The Danish Road Directorate is conducting geotechnical investigations to design the upcoming reconstruction of the connection facility at Randers. The work is done by drilling in the ground so that soil samples can be taken.Geotechnical investigations are currently being carried out around the connection facilities 39 40 and 43 at Randers. This involves drilling into the ground for sampling the soil for further analysis. The results of the soil tests will be used to design the forthcoming conversion of the three connection facilities. The drilling itself is carried out with a special drilling rig which is off-road and can therefore appear in most places. At the same time the boreholes help to determine where the groundwater table is so that local groundwater conditions can be handled during the construction phase. Once a hole has been drilled a sounding pipe is left on site so that it is possible to measure the groundwater level forwards. The follow-up measurements are made once a month until December 2022 on foot and thus without additional machines. The geotechnical wells are expected to be completed by the end of June.
