Denmark Aptean Buys Tender

The American software company Aptean has acquired the Optiware group.Aptean is a global company with over 1700 employees providing industry-specific software solutions including ERP supply chain management and compliance solutions to more than 2500 companies in more than 20 different industries across 54 countries. The Aptean is equally owned by the two private equity funds Vista Equity Partners and TA Associates. Optiware headquartered in Denmark is a result of the merger between API Maintenance Systems and AXXOS Industry Systems. Optiware supplies industrial software in the form of Enterprise Asset Management EAM and Overall Equipment Effectiveness OEE. Up until the completion of the transaction Optiware was owned by the Danish capital fund Capidea.Apteans acquisition of Optiware has been made to increase Apteans presence in Europe which is a strategically important growth area for Aptean. In collaboration with Orrick Horten has assisted Aptean in connection with the transaction.
