📋 Tender Overview
The Railway Administration has announced a tender for the contractor of the documentation for the joint construction permit for another part of the line from Prague to Václav Havel Airport. The winner will create a project for an almost three-kilometre section between the already built stop at the Exhibition Grounds and the station in Dejvice. It will be newly located underground and will offer a better connection to the Hrad?anská metro station. The modernization will result in a double-track electrified line, which will run largely in a tunnel. The construction is expected to be completed between 2026 and 2029, with total costs amounting to CZK 7.66 billion.
As part of the railway to the airport project, work is currently underway in the sections Praha-Bubny – Praha-Výstavišt? and Kladno – Kladno-Ostrovec. Other parts of the track are in various stages of preparation. Specifically, for the section from Výstavišt? to Dejvice, the documentation for the zoning procedure has already been completed, and we expect the issuance of a zoning decision in the first half of this year.
The aim of the planned construction is the modernization of the entire section, which includes its double-tracking and electrification. At the same time, all level crossings will be cancelled. On the surface, the line will run only in the Stromovka locality, after which the trains will enter the tunnel. The relocated Praha-Dejvice station will also be located underground, from which there will be a direct transfer to the metro. The existing station building will be abandoned.
The estimated value of the public contract is CZK 162,289,215 excluding VAT. The actual implementation of the works is planned for the years 2026 to 2029.
Implementation of the construction Modernization of the line Praha-Výstavišt? (excluding) - Praha-Dejvice (inclusive) is approved for co-financing by the European Union from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).
