Costa Rica Presents Tender

In the framework of the 2018 World Telecommunications Summit which ended in Geneva Switzerland the country presented its innovative program of intelligent data for intelligent regulation. A big data project management of huge volumes of information through powerful databases which is administered by the Superintendency of Telecommunications SUTEL.Edwin Estrada Vice Minister of Science and Technology MICIT expressed within the International Union for Telecommunications ITU that the Government of the Republic launched last October the digital transformation strategy for Costa Rica Bicentennial 4.0 this according to the 200 years of Independence of our country.Also Estrada added that this strategy has as its goal to be an essential tool to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and it is also made within the framework of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Abolition of the Army in Costa Rica.Ana Lucrecia Segura Coordinator of the Economic Analysis Area of the Superintendency of Telecommunications SUTEL explained that smart data for intelligent regulation shows the actions that are being carried out in the big data pilot project where data of the operators through a mobile application of the SUTEL to improve the decision making for the benefit of the users of the service.Segura added that this is a visionary and ambitious project and that it is aligned with the transformation strategy launched by the Government which shows above all what could be done and built as indicators of data collection and decision making are reached. with the fourth industrial revolution digital wings.The Costa Rican delegation was made up of the Vice Minister of MICIT Edwin Estrada the Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva UNOG Elayne Whyte Ana Lucrecia Segura of SUTEL and the Minister Counselor Mrs. Maricela Muoz also featured in UNOG.
