The Official Guidance Report No. 007-2026-OCI/4553-SOO (evaluation period from April 20, 2026 to June 18, 2026) indicates that the provider entity collected and referred the drinking water samples for the mandatory analysis of the first quarter with a delay of up to 45 days, failing to comply with its own schedule of control activities and sampling frequency. minimum.
The simultaneous control service carried out determined that the taking of the 36 mandatory samples intended to measure 19 quality parameters in the supply systems of the Pasto Grande reservoir, Tumilaca river, drinking water treatment plants (PTAP) Chen Chen and Yunguyo, Galerias Filtrantes (GF) Olleria and El Totoral; as well as drinking water distribution networks, had to be carried out strictly in February 2026 in a laboratory accredited by the National Quality Institute (INACAL). The current regulations of the Ministry of Health (DIGESA) and the National Superintendency of Sanitation Services (SUNASS) require continuous and permanent control precisely to prevent the population from consuming water with levels that exceed the Maximum Permissible Limits (LMP) according to D.S. 031-2010-SA.
The control report was notified to the General Management of EPS Moquegua with the objective of implementing the necessary corrective and preventive actions to reestablish strict compliance with the water monitoring calendar.
