π Tender Overview
The new structures improve vehicular and pedestrian traffic, facilitating access to basic services and boosting economic activities in both regions. The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), through Provias Descentralizado, completed the execution of two modular bridges in the Cajamarca and La Libertad regions. The metal structures contribute to improving road connectivity and the quality of life of more than 10 thousand people in rural areas of both regions.
This is the Sallique bridge (28 m), located in the district of the same name, province of Jaen, department of Cajamarca; and the Monterrey bridge (48.7 m), in the district of Taurija, province of Pataz, department of La Libertad. Both structures were received after meeting the established technical standards.
The Sallique bridge required an investment of S/ 1.12 million. This intervention will allow safe transit to be restored, mainly benefiting farmers.
Meanwhile, the Monterrey bridge involved an investment of S/ 1.8 million. This work facilitates connectivity on the local road that links strategic sectors of the Taurija district, improving the transportation of people and products.
Both projects included the implementation of approach slabs, road markings, protective rockfilling and other components that guarantee the safety and durability of the infrastructure.
With these interventions, the MTC continues working to close connectivity gaps in the country, promoting access to basic services, economic development and the integration of the most remote communities.
