They held a working meeting to define priority actions to improve the quality of the service and combat informality. In the next few days important ads are coming.The Urban Transportation Authority for Lima and Callao (ATU), an entity attached to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, held this morning a working meeting with representatives of the blue, red and purple complementary corridors, with the aim of defining a series of strategies that significantly improve the public transport service in the capital and the first port, fighting informality and optimizing the user experience.
Orlando Vargas, Manuel Astorga and Gerardo Hermoza for the purple corridor participated in this fruitful meeting; Luis Moran and Evelyn Espinoza for the blue corridor; and Manuel Quispe and Walter Barboza for the red corridor.
During the appointment relevant issues were addressed, such as the expansion and creation of new routes and services; the expansion of care schedules on certain tours - which with greater demand; tariff integration; the improvement of infrastructure; the design of an adequate regulatory framework; and the intensification of sustained inspection actions, among other measures.
The ATU promised to meet, in the coming weeks and individually, with the representatives of each of the runners, in order to quickly advance at the priority points and follow up on the established agreements.
The new ATU management, under the executive presidency of Jaime Francisco Romero Bonilla, will implement a direct monitoring of the fulfillment of the actions and will maintain a fluid communication with the operators. In the next few days important ads will be announced, such as the expansion of the tours in some of the runners, which will have a positive impact on the quality of the service, for the benefit of the inhabitants of Lima and the Callao.
