Budapest July 10 2026 - This year we celebrated Railway Day for the 76th time which is an important symbol of commitment and loyalty to the company and is now the biggest joint holiday of the MAV group. One of the prominent programs of the Railway Day is the Clean Up during which 146 officers were inaugurated this year at the event organized in the Hungarian Railway History Park.
146 railway and bus officers took the oath of service at the Tisztavatas which marks the end of the higher education of students who graduated in the transport sector. The officers inaugurated this year completed their studies at the Baross Gabor Baross Training Center in advanced track facilities advanced bus traffic officer training advanced passenger transport trade officer training advanced passenger transport technology officer training advanced safety equipment master advanced telecommunications master advanced operation-towing and advanced traffic correspondence courses.

Background:
During its more than 135-year history railway education founded by Gabor Baross has come a long way in order to train highly qualified professionals for the domestic railways - primarily the MAV group. The centuries-long tradition and the tens of thousands of graduates who have chosen the railway profession oblige them to continuously modernize their training programs to ensure a level of education that meets the requirements of the times to provide marketable professional qualifications supported by theoretical knowledge but at the same time practice-oriented training as well as to continuous development and renewal.
The educational centers employee community of nearly 200 people is committed to the future of the railway everyone works in their own field and with their work for the common goal to keep the railway on track and thus move forward with new momentum in the direction of development.
