In order to thoroughly implement the major decisions and deployments of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on strengthening the construction of a network power country and improving peoples quality of life further improve the coverage quality of 5G signals in rural and remote areas and increase the support and guarantee of radio spectrum resources for the high-quality development of 5G Recently the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved China Unicom to re-cultivate the 900MHz frequency band frequency resources currently used for 2G3G4G systems for 5G systems.The 900MHz frequency band has the characteristics of low propagation loss wide coverage strong penetration ability and low network deployment cost. The approval by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China Unicom to use the 900MHz frequency band to carry out 5G services will further expand my countrys low-band 5G industry space and expand the coverage of low-band 5G networks which will help people in rural and remote areas to further enjoy high-quality 5G services.The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has always attached great importance to the supply of frequency resources for public mobile communications in my country. Especially since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has made overall planning and multiple measures to continuously strengthen the supply-side management of 5G system frequency resources. The total amount of licensed spectrum resources ranks among the top in the world effectively guaranteeing the demand for 5G capacity and coverage. The interference coordination or technical transformation of the 13000 affected satellite earth stations and other radio stations stations has strongly supported the large-scale and smooth deployment of 5G in my country.
