π Tender Overview
China National Environmental Monitoring Center, in conjunction with the Central Meteorological Observatory, the National Joint Center for Air Pollution Control, the Northeast, South China, Southwest, Northwest, and Yangtze River Delta Regional Air Quality Forecasting Centers, and the Beijing Ecological Environment Monitoring Center, conducted a national air quality forecast consultation for the first half of February (February 1-15).
In the first half of February, most of the country was affected by multiple rounds of cold air in the early stage, diffusion conditions were relatively good, and the overall air quality was mainly good to slightly polluted; in the middle and late stages, the temperature in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas, the Northeast, the Fenwei Plain, the Northwest and the Southwest regions rose, diffusion conditions deteriorated, and the air quality was mainly light to moderate pollution, and the urban agglomeration on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains may experience moderate to severe pollution.
Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas: In the first half of February, the region as a whole is affected by cold air, and diffusion conditions are relatively good; at the beginning and middle of the month, from 8 to 9, during the cold air interval, some areas may experience light to moderate pollution. Among them, on the 1st, most of the region was affected by strong northeasterly winds, and the overall air quality was mainly good to light pollution. The wind was weak in the mountainous areas and pollution accumulation may occur. Moderate pollution may occur in northwestern Henan; on the 2nd, diffusion conditions in the northern and central parts of the region improved, with mainly good to light pollution. Diffusion conditions in the southern part of the region were generally unfavorable, with high relative humidity, and mainly good to light pollution. Western Shandong and northeastern Henan were mainly light to moderate pollution. Affected by the setting off of fireworks and firecrackers, some cities may experience moderate and above pollution; from the 3rd to the 5th, successively Affected by two northwest cold air currents, diffusion conditions in most parts of the region are favorable, and the air quality is mainly good. Diffusion conditions in the central and southern parts of the region are slightly worse during the cold air interval, and some areas may experience light pollution; from noon on the 6th to the 9th, the central and northern parts of the region are dominated by southerly winds, pollution accumulates in the mountainous areas, and moderate pollution may occur. The southern part of the region is dominated by southerly winds and easterly winds, with strong winds, and mainly good to light pollution; from the afternoon of the 9th to the 10th, most of the region is affected by the northwest cold air from north to south, and diffusion conditions are favorable, mainly good, and light pollution may occur locally. From the 11th to the 15th, affected by two cold air currents, diffusion conditions in the northern part of the region are favorable, mainly good, and diffusion conditions in the central and southern parts are slightly worse, and mainly good to light pollution. The primary pollutants are mainly PM2.5 and PM10.
Beijing: In the first half of February, cold air activities were frequent, diffusion conditions were generally good, and the air quality was mainly good. Among them, on the 1st, the ground was affected by the weak situation field of the northeast high pressure turning into the rear of the high pressure, with southeasterly winds, weak winds, rising humidity, and continuous deterioration of diffusion conditions, and the air quality was slightly polluted; on the 2nd, affected by the northwest high pressure and northerly winds, diffusion conditions gradually improved, and the air quality was good; from the 3rd to the 9th, cold air activities were frequent, diffusion conditions were favorable, and the air quality was good; from the 10th to the 13th, there was still the influence of cold air, and the air quality was mainly good; from the 14th to the 15th, the cold air weakened, the temperature rose, the diffusion conditions deteriorated, and pollution processes may occur. The main pollutants are PM2.5.
Yangtze River Delta Region: In the first half of February, the overall diffusion conditions in the region were general due to the influence of weak cold air in the early stage; in the middle stage, the diffusion conditions improved due to the influence of the low-pressure trough turning into cold air; in the later stage, the weak pressure field controlled the turning into cold air, which made PM2.5 accumulation and transport process prone to occur. Among them, on the 1st, affected by the low pressure trough, there was precipitation in the region, the diffusion conditions were good, and the overall pollution was mainly good to light. Affected by the setting off of fireworks and firecrackers, the northern inland areas were moderately polluted; from the 2nd to the 4th, affected by the cold air in front of the high pressure, the diffusion conditions were generally general, the overall regional pollution was good to light, and affected by the setting off of fireworks and firecrackers, the northern inland areas were moderately polluted; from the 5th to the 7th, affected by the high pressure control turning into a low pressure trough, the diffusion conditions gradually improved, the overall regional pollution was good to light; from the 8th to the 10th, affected by the cold air, the overall regional pollution was mainly good, and the inland areas were slightly polluted; from the 11th to the 13th, controlled by the weak pressure field, the diffusion conditions were poor, the overall regional pollution was good to light, and the northern areas could reach moderate pollution for a short time; from the 14th to the 15th.
