In the Yangtze River Delta region, one of the "three engines" leading China's economic development, the railway is expected to send 89 million passengers in the 40 days of the Spring Festival, a year-on-year increase of 31.7%.
As one of the regions with the most active economic development, the highest degree of openness and the strongest innovation ability in China, the Yangtze River Delta region has a pivotal strategic position in the overall situation of national modernization and all-round opening up. While accelerating the construction of an interconnected, efficient and convenient modern railway network, the railway department is actively building a "Yangtze River Delta on the track", supporting the "mobile Yangtze River Delta", and serving the higher-quality integrated development of the region. In 2023, the number of railway passengers sent by the Yangtze River Delta will exceed 800 million for the first time, reaching 808 million.
Give full play to the advantages of high-speed rail and improve the transportation product system. During this year's Spring Festival, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. made great efforts to make good use of the more than 7,000 kilometers of high-speed rail network in the tube, and planned to open more than 1,000 pairs of mobile trains, and planned to increase the number of passenger trains by 369.5 pairs, including 22 pairs of night EMU trains for the first time in northern Jiangsu. With Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Hefei as the core, they have turned public transportation into mobile trains, enriched high-quality and pedigree passenger transport products such as sunset departure, intermodal transportation, benchmark direct, and commuter business, and built an integrated traffic circle of 1 to 3 hours in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, amplifying the effect of the Yangtze River Delta city. At present, there are more than 330 pairs of high-speed rail trains under the management of Shanghai Bureau Group Company, so that passengers in the region can "think of high-speed rail when they travel, and they can get on high-speed rail when they lift their legs" has gradually become a reality. In order to achieve accurate driving as much as possible, the bureau group company is guided by market demand, implements the market-oriented operation plan of train unit trains on high-speed rail lines, realizes differentiated transportation capacity supply during the week and weekends, implements the compilation of "one map per day" for high-speed rail, arranges three sets of operation plans for daily, weekend and peak, and drives on demand in combination with passenger flow, and optimizes and adjusts the train timetable three times in 2023, with a total of 78 transportation capacity adjustment plans implemented, and an average of 1.5 times a week to adjust the transportation capacity.
Improve the quality of transportation services and make passengers' travel experience better. On the eve of the Spring Festival this year, the Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. launched 15 new affordable and high-quality packages below 30 yuan on the EMU trains in the tube, and increased the supply ratio, increasing the number of dining passengers by 4,000 per day. The bureau group company optimized the ticketing service, fully implemented e-tickets, and actively launched new ticket systems such as e-cards, group tickets, time-counting tickets, and commuter tickets, with the proportion of Internet ticket purchases exceeding 90% and mobile client ticket purchases exceeding 80%. They have innovated the intermodal ticketing service, and opened the "air-rail intermodal transport" ticketing service at nearly 200 stations in 14 Yangtze River Delta cities and their surrounding areas, including Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Hefei, to achieve "one ticket purchase, one payment, and seamless connection between aircraft and high-speed rail".
Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. vigorously implements the station and train smooth project, widely uses new technologies such as self-service ticket checking, face brushing to enter the station, intelligent navigation and other new technologies to improve the efficiency of passengers entering and exiting the station, implements the "inspection and inspection integration" organizational model in 231 stations, opens convenient transfer services in 19 stations, and implements railway transfer to subway security check-free services in 9 stations such as Shanghai and Shanghai Hongqiao. In order to enrich and improve the intelligent and personalized services for business travelers and frequent travelers, the bureau group company has launched Internet ordering and specialty reservation business in 10 stations, implemented seat scanning code service on 710 groups of bullet trains, and made good use of hundreds of "Shanghai Railway Leifeng Service Stations", 215 special ticket windows for key passengers, and 157 barrier-free ticketing windows.
Grasp market changes and expand incremental space. In view of the fact that 15 new lines and 74 new stations have been opened since 2019, Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has focused on the Jiangsu region, accurately grasped the layout changes brought about by the smooth flow and multi-network integration of the high-speed railway in northern Jiangsu, combined with the opening of new lines such as the Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed railway along the Yangtze River, and continued to optimize the driving structure of the Yangtze River Delta road network. In view of the characteristics of passengers "buying tickets temporarily and leaving as soon as they say", the bureau group company focuses on monitoring the medium and short-term passenger flow and ticket pre-sale, establishes a "one car, one policy" file for ticket allocation.
