On the shore of Chongming Island, the river and the sea meet. Under the water, the "Pilot" shield machine is digging towards Taicang, Jiangsu at a speed of 16 to 28 meters per day. The construction of the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel of the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu Yangtze River High-speed Railway is in full swing. As a key project of the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-speed Railway, the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel will end the history of Chongming Island without high-speed rail after it is completed. By then, it will take only 17 minutes to get from Chongming to Shanghai Baoshan Station via Taicang.
This tunnel is unusual: with a total length of 14.25 kilometers and a single-ended excavation distance of 11.3255 kilometers, it is the world's longest single-ended tunnel; with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, it is the world's fastest underwater tunnel; the tunnel penetrates 89 meters underwater in the Yangtze River, making it the deepest riverbed tunnel in the Yangtze River.
As a major project, the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel is a test site for my country's intelligent tunnel construction. The "Linghang" shield machine responsible for excavation is equipped with a tunnel intelligent construction system. It has a "super brain" that can think independently, analyze intelligently and make independent judgments, which can realize autonomous excavation and achieve "manned operation, unmanned operation" intelligent construction.
In the segment prefabrication stage, the construction team built the country's first fully digital segment production line, realizing the automation of the entire process including steel bar processing, automatic surface finishing, and segment steaming. In the segment transportation stage, a long-distance intelligent transportation system was put into use. In the segment installation stage, the construction team developed an intelligent assembly robot for arc parts, which can realize one-click intelligent assembly of prefabricated arc parts with a control accuracy of 0.5 mm... "From intelligent sensing shield machines to intelligent excavation, intelligent management and control, and other comprehensive intelligence, represented by projects such as the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel, my country's tunnel construction is entering the era of intelligent construction." said Xu Weiqing, project manager of the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel of China Railway Tunnel Bureau.
"As of the end of February, the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei high-speed railway has completed an investment of 81.61 billion yuan," said a relevant person in charge of the Yangtze River Coast Railway Group Co., Ltd.
Looking at the entire Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu Yangtze River high-speed railway line, projects such as the Hefei to Wuhan section, Wuhan to Yichang section, Chengdu via Dazhou to Wanzhou section, Chengdu-Chongqing Central Line, and Yichang to Fuling section are all progressing in an orderly manner.
The Dabie Mountain Tunnel is the longest tunnel on the entire Hefei-Wuhan section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu Yangtze River High-Speed ??Railway, connecting the two provinces of Hubei and Anhui.
The tunnel passes through many environmentally sensitive areas, including Hubei Shizifeng Provincial Forest Park, Shizifeng Provincial Nature Reserve, Dabie Mountain National Geopark, and Anhui Tianma National Nature Reserve. The construction team minimized the impact of tunnel construction on the environment by reducing the number of inclined shaft outlets and adding sewage treatment stations.
As one of the most important east-west high-speed rail "corridors" in my country, the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu Yangtze River High-Speed ??Railway is about 2,100 kilometers long, connecting the three major urban agglomerations of the Yangtze River Delta, the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and Chengdu-Chongqing, and is an important support for accelerating the improvement of the Yangtze River railway network.
At present, there are more than 600 round-trip trains between Shanghai and Nanjing every day, with an average running time of 2.7 minutes per train; an average of more than 2 million passengers take the Yangtze River Delta Railway every day. By the end of 2024, the operating mileage of the Yangtze River Delta Railway will exceed 15,000 kilometers, of which the operating mileage of high-speed railways will exceed 7,700 kilometers. With the steady progress of the Yangtze River Railway Corridor, the "Yangtze River Delta on Track" will be accelerated.
In the construction of the Yangtze River railway corridor, "soft construction" has made a lot of positive progress: in terms of planning, the "14th Five-Year Plan" outline has made overall arrangements for the construction of a comprehensive transportation system in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and issued and implemented policy documents such as the planning and construction of high-speed railways along the Yangtze River and the Yangtze River mainline port rail-water transport facilities, focusing on key links and key difficult issues such as regional connectivity, smooth network, and node opening, and accelerating the improvement of the Yangtze River railway network system; in terms of policy, we insist on "funds and factors follow projects", strengthen inter-departmental linkage, coordinate to increase the guarantee of land use, environmental impact assessment, water conservation and other factors, broaden railway investment and financing channels, and increase central and local financial support; in terms of system and mechanism, strengthen overall coordination and promote the early start of projects. At the same time, promote the complementary advantages and coordinated integration of railways and other modes of transportation, accelerate the development of rail-water transport, and reduce the logistics costs of the whole society.
