In the framework of his visit to the La Araucana Region the Minister of Public Works Alfredo Moreno this morning led the implementation of the new road interconnection between the communes of Temuco and Vilcn . The works carried out by the MOPs Highway Directorate seek to improve connectivity and integration in the area this through the enabling of three bridges plus a new vehicular link.I am very happy to start the operation of this extraordinary work that will allow the connectivity of the northern access to Temuco with this entire area which has so much tourist and productive value and which will also improve the quality of life of many people. As of 400 pm today it will be fully operational to have free transit of automobiles Minister Alfredo Moreno reported on the new road interconnection that represented an investment of the MOP of close to 22 billion pesos.Among the main works of the new Temuco-Vilcn road interconnection the new Cautn El Cajn Bridge stands out which will become an alternative to vehicular traffic that circulates through the town of Cajn building a controlled access by level change from the north access to Temuco a 280-meter long viaduct over Route S-215 the railroad and the Cautn River. This road connects with the road to Vilcn past the Cajn sector. The urban connectivity of Cajn is improved with the paving of a section of Route S-31 the replacement of the Laucha Bridge and the construction of the new Cautn Bridge. This interconnection will have a 7-meter lane 2-meter sidewalk security works landscaping and bicycle lane among others.The Secretary of State explained that the new road interconnection joins a set of other road works currently under development in the region La Araucana is the second region where we invest the most in road transport. Between 2020 and 2022 we are going to invest US 824 million in a total of 800 kilometers of roads because we must remember that La Araucana has enormous needs in this area It is the region with the largest road network where there are fewer paved roads and therefore we have a huge task to do .We have a commitment and a decision that in La Araucana we have to have good roads we have to get ahead with rural drinking water and the coastal edges in order to help and contribute to the quality of life of all the people of this extraordinary and wonderful region added the highest authority of the MOP.Along these lines the Presidential delegate of La Araucana Vctor Manoli together with thanking the commitment of all the actors involved in the construction of these new works highlighted that the new Temuco-Vilcn interconnection It is an emblematic work for the region It is one of the largest works that the Ministry of Public Works has done in investment in recent years. Araucana requires all the actors authorities people and leaders because we have been badly hit by different things by the pandemic and by violence. This region we have to build it together and to the extent that we unite and we look at a single objective which is to improve peoples quality of life .I want to reiterate my thanks and as a representative of President Sebastin Piera I am proud to participate in activities like this one. This as the minister said is a white march and is not an inauguration and in this way we are going to enable traffic so that people can reduce their waiting times move more calmly and with greater security he added the delegate from La Araucana.During his inspection visit to the works of the new road interconnection Minister Alfredo Moreno was also accompanied by the mayor of Vilcn Katherine Migueles the mayor of Temuco Roberto Neira Aburto the Seremi of Public Works of La Araucana Freddy Gutirrez and the regional director of Roads David Venegas.
