New infrastructure contributes to the strengthening of the electrical system at the national level.More energy for Peru The Sunny Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant I Stage project began operations on October 22 in the district of La Joya, province and department of Arequipa. This photovoltaic plant contributes 204 megawatts (MW) to the National Interconnected Electric System (SEIN), benefiting thousands of families, businesses and industries nationwide.
The solar plant generates clean, renewable and sustainable energy, thus contributing to the diversification of the countrys energy matrix and strengthening Perus energy security.
In compliance with its role, Osinergmin verified the construction and start-up of this solar plant, supervising compliance with the concession contract and current regulations in the electricity sector. The project required an approximate investment of 126.4 million dollars (without VAT).
