📋 Tender Overview
During these hot days, there are many bathers at all the bathing waters. At the same time, we are facing an extreme drought and, as a result, low water levels in our rivers, lakes and reservoirs, as well as higher water temperatures. In some bathing waters, during sampling, we notice a more vigorous growth of algae, which are normal flora. In principle, these algae are not harmful to bathers, but they are unpleasant to look at, and extra caution is required on overgrown stones due to slipping (Lake Bohinj, Ukanc bathing area).
V Sobcevem bajerju je bilo ob zadnjem vzorcenju vode 29. junija 2026 zaznati spremembo barve vode, zmanjsala se je tudi prosojnost. Examination of the water sample showed that due to the reduced water flow through the bay and the high water temperature, there was an increased biomass of planktonic algae, which gave the water a distinctly greenish appearance. Phytoplankton analysis showed that the community is dominated by the golden alga Dinobryon sp. and diatoms from the genus Fragilaria.
Since these algae can also cause an unpleasant reaction on the skin of bathers, we urge you to follow the instructions of the swimming pool operator. As a precautionary measure for bathers, the National Institute of Public Health advises the usual recommendations: Bathers should not swallow the water; they should shower after bathing; small children and pets should not stay in parts of the bay with areas of accumulated algae.
During the last sampling of the bathing waters of the sea on June 29, 2026, in three locations (below Turistika, at the natural bathing area at Debele rtic and next to the Piran hotel), deposits of grass were detected, on which layers of slime were caught. According to the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health, bathers should avoid these places.
The map of the bathing waters shows that the microbiological quality of the tap water is consistent everywhere. We regularly monitor the condition of the bathing water. O morebitnih spremembah pa vas bomo sproti obvescali.
