📋 Tender Overview
o Up to 248 records have been identified that incur express causes of exclusion, in line with the policy of formalization of extractive activitiesAs part of its inspection actions in the district of Pataz, La Libertad region, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), through the General Directorate of Mining Formalization (DGFM), identified 248 entries in the Comprehensive Registry of Mining Formalization (REINFO) that do not record mining activity nor do they have any mining work.
Given this, in accordance with what is established by law, the exclusion procedure has been initiated for 62 of said registrations, and another 186 are in process, given that the non-existence of mining activity constitutes an express cause for exclusion from the process of formalization of small and artisanal mining, undertaken by the State.
The MINEM confirms that the purification of the REINFO constitutes an institutional priority and an essential condition to advance with the mining formalization process, which is why it has been adopting the corresponding actions for this purpose.
The MINEM reaffirms its commitment to formal, responsible, orderly and sustainable mining, which benefits the most vulnerable populations in the country, and will continue to act, in accordance with its powers, to identify small producers who do want to formalize their activities and distinguish them from those who carry out actions contrary to the law.
