Harbourside Engineering Group in collaboration with Englobe Corporation has been named the 2023 recipient of the Lieutenant-Governors Award for Excellence in Engineering for work on the Peggys Cove Infrastructure Design Project.The project improved access to an iconic Canadian setting without interfering with the topography or changing the character of the surrounding community. It also supports economic and structural sustainability through a design that withstands coastal conditions.For the first time Peggys Cove is accessible to all visitors. Everyone can experience the beauty of the area and enjoy viewing the lighthouse in person said Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc. The project also demonstrates respect to the spirit of the community and the surrounding landscape.The prestigious award is presented annually by the Lieutenant-Governor of Nova Scotia and is administered by Engineers Nova Scotia. Recipients demonstrate creative accomplishment in engineering excellence in engineering design and a high quality of professional standards.
