Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung signed Decision No. 1382/QD-TTg promulgating the Plan to implement the Law on Belief and Religion (Plan). Law on Belief and Religion No. 07/2026/QH16 (Law) was passed by the XVI National Assembly at its First Session on April 23, 2026, effective from January 1, 2026. 2027. Timely review, amend, supplement, replace, annul or promulgate new legal documents to ensure synchronization and consistency with the Law; Promote the application of science, technology, and digital transformation in state management of beliefs and religions and ensure the necessary conditions for the Law to be uniformly implemented nationwide from January 1, 2027. Build a database and promote digital transformation in state management of beliefs and religions. The content of the Plan includes: Organizing propaganda, dissemination, and guidance on implementing the Law and guiding documents; Organize in-depth training and professional development in state management of beliefs and religions; review legal documents related to beliefs and religions; develop a Government Decree detailing a number of articles and measures to organize and guide the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion; build a database and promote digital transformation in state management of beliefs and religions; Organize monitoring, inspection, urging, preliminary and final reviews of the implementation of the Law and legal documents detailing and guiding implementation.
