Twenty-six digital channels were assigned by the Ministry of Communications MCom for the execution of the Retransmission of Television RTV service this Wednesday 9th. The ordinances were published in the Official Gazette DOU. The channels are distributed in six states Gois Maranho Minas Gerais Par Paran and Santa Catarina.All benefited entities already have authorization to run the RTV service in the analogue standard in the 20 municipalities served. With the consignment they start broadcasting the programming of their channels with superior sound and image quality. Broadcasters will be able to maintain the retransmission both on analogue and digital channels until December 2023 at which time analogue television will be switched off. However if they so wish they can voluntarily turn off the analog signal before this deadline as long as the digital one is in operation.Paran Santa Catarina and Gois each have four benefited cities. The cities of Pitanga and Telmaco Borba in Paran will have two channels each Porto Vitria and Santa Helena complete the list. All cities are listed below.
