Registration is open for the 2025 edition of the Direct Treasury Olympics of Financial Education (Olitef), educational competition created by the National Treasury in partnership with B3. This year, they can participate in the competition, which will be held on September 9, students from the 6th grade of elementary school until the 3rd year of high school. All students registered by schools will have free access to preparatory material and test results. They will be entitled to a certificate of participation. We are very excited about the new edition of Olitef. We have a bold goal of seeking at least 5 million students participating in Olitef 2025, says National Treasury Secretary Rogerio Ceron.
Consolidated as the largest financial education Olympics in the country, Olitef was known for encouraging the learning of personal finance, basic financial mathematics and investments among elementary and high school students. The first edition, held in September 2024, was attended by more than 546,000 students, covering 2,234 cities and reaching 43% of Brazilian municipalities. Olitef awarded, in its first edition, 61,689 students with gold, silver, bronze and honor of merit, representing 87% of participating schools. About 17,000 teachers also underwent training in the area of financial education.
In March, the 54 public schools - two per state - with R 100,000 into investments to transform the school environment and the infrastructure available to students were awarded. Among the prize options chosen by the institutions are 32 computer laboratories, 14 of Robotics, 5 sciences, as well as 2 building materials kits and 1 court kit and sports material kit. The award -winning institutions represent all regions of Brazil, including a school in Oiapoque, Amapa, and one in Ivoti, Rio Grande do Sul. Students present representing the schools were also awarded a Treasury Direct Gift Card of R 320.00.
About Olitef
Olitef is a free national initiative promoted by the National Treasury in partnership with B3 with the support of the Ministry of Education (MEC), Central Bank, Consed and Undime. The action, which occurs annually, is organized by the educational UPMAT and aims to promote financial education among Brazilian students of basic education, from both public and private schools in the 6th grade of elementary school to the 3rd year of high school.
