In the last three years the Federal Government through the Computers for Inclusion program has donated around 10 thousand refurbished machines to schools telecenters and public libraries in all regions of the country. The action coordinated by the Ministry of Communications MCom aims to promote both sustainability in the disposal of electronic equipment and the productive inclusion of young people in vulnerable situations. And then at the end of the reconditioning cycle the program provides equipment for digital inclusion since 2019 around 750 locations have received computers. It is estimated that 500000 people can benefit.The equipment is refurbished by donating items and disposing of Federal Government IT assets. During this National Environment Week alone in an action carried out on the Esplanada dos Ministrios the computer refurbishment center CRC bus an initiative linked to the program collected 200 kilos of unused electronic equipment. Since 2004 around 418 thousand items of electronic waste have been collected through the initiative.
