The new platform for applying for electronic visas (e-Visa) for citizens of Australia, Canada and the United States went into operation on 12/1/2023.
Australian, Canadian and North American nationals will need visas to enter Brazil from 01/10/2024. The measure stems from Decree No. 11,515, of 2/5/2023, which reestablished the principle of reciprocity and equal treatment, taking into account the requirement for visas for Brazilian citizens to enter these countries.
The e-Visa does not require the interested party to attend Brazilian consulates, presenting a high degree of practicality and convenience for the applicant, who will process the entire application process and present the relevant documentation digitally and remotely, and will also receive the visa electronically.
The e-Visa request, only for passport holders from those three countries, can be made at the email address: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com . The cost will be US$80.90. The electronic visa will have the same validity period as conventional visas for the nationalities in question and will allow multiple entries.
