The Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) and the National Commercial Learning Service (Senac) extended on Thursday (27/3), registrations for the free professional training course in foreign trade to black people (black and brown), with per capita income of up to two minimum wages, from 16 years. The initiative, which is part of the Raizes Comex program, aims to increase the presence of black people in foreign trade, a sector with great growth potential and opportunities.
Registration for the cities of Rio Grande (RS), Paranagua (PR), Fortaleza (CE), Joinville (SC), Santos (SP) and Itajai (SC), were extended until 31/03. In all there are 120 vacancies for professional qualification in Assistant Foreign Trade Services and 20 vacancies for Foreign Trade Technician, distributed among the six municipalities.
Soon will also be available for registration for the municipality of Recife (PE), with 20 vacancies.

The initiative has the support of other partners, including the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fighting Hunger (MDS), so that this opportunity also reaches, for example, the people registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (Cadunico).
On the courses
The courses will be offered in person in the 10 main port and airport zones of Brazil, staggered throughout the year. With a workload of 160 and 800 hours, respectively, the technical and professional qualification courses will be available in Salvador (BA), Fortaleza (CE), Vitoria (ES), Recife (PE) and Rio de Janeiro (RJ), among other cities. The target audience are black people, from 16 years old, with per capita monthly family income of up to 2 minimum wages and minimum high school education (completed or in progress). The training includes practical content on export and import processes, negotiations, customs dispatch and transportation and storage operations.
About the Raizes Comex Program
Raizes Comex is a MDIC program that aims to increase the participation of black people in foreign trade. Through strategic actions, such as training and support for professional development, international visibility of products and services offered by black entrepreneurs and recognition of companies that promote racial diversity in foreign trade, the program contributes to reducing historical and structural inequalities, connecting young blacks to careers in foreign trade.
