The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Farming (MDA), the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MMA) and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) launches, this Friday (21/3), at 11am, in Brasilia (DF), public call for the Restoration Amazon initiative in the area of the Restoration Arch, critical territory of deforestation, which goes from East of Maranhao to Acre.
With R 150 million from the Amazon Fund, the initiative will primarily select ecological and productive restoration projects in agrarian reform settlement areas.
Minister Marina Silva, MDA Minister Paulo Teixeira, the BNDES Socio-Environmental Director, Tereza Campello, the Director General of the Brazilian Forest Service (SFB), Garo Batmanian, and the President of the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra), Cesar Aldrighi.
