This week, the Federal Government House in Rio Grande do Sul was the headquarters of the institutional caravan for the reconstruction of RS, with the participation of leaders of the Ministries of Culture, Education, Health, Development and Social Assistance, Family and Hunger Fighting, as well as Civil Defense and Caixa Economica Federal.
With the objective of asking questions and assisting municipal managers, the MINC office in RS made care to the municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul over the Unions decentralized investments and the National Culture System, between 18 and 20 March. Among the municipalities served were Porto Alegre, Pelotas, Eldorado do Sul, Montenegro, Passo Fundo, Novo Hamburgo and Bage.
According to the office coordinator, Mariana Martinez, the federal government is implementing the largest investment in the history of Rio Grande do Sul to the cultural sector. Through the Paulo Gustavo Law and the National Policy Aldir Blanc, RS Cultural Resumption Program and Rouanet Law, will be invested, by 2027, more than R 1 billion in Rio Grande do Sul culture.
This caravan is strategic to ensure the execution of these important resources and strengthen federative relations in defense of culture and sustainable development of RS. In the Paulo Gustavo Law we have 94% of resources execution and we are performing this task force to achieve a high percentage with PNAB resources, said the coordinator.
According to Secretary Maneco Hassen of the Federal Governments house, it is a huge program involving virtually all government ministries. We received here in these three days dozens of city halls, precisely in this effort that the federal government makes so that the resource we are providing for the municipalities in the most diverse programs to reach the tip and help improve peoples lives and rebuild Rio Grande do Sul.
The resources will be intended for the support and development of artistic and cultural activities of the creative and solidarity economies, original peoples, quilombola communities and in the programs of the National Culture and Culture Culture Policy.
Municipalities
Among the municipalities served are Pelotas, Southern and Eldorado do Sul, in the Metropolitan Region, both strongly affected by the climate tragedy of 2024. For the director of planning and projects of the Pelotas Secretariat of Culture, Alexandre Mattos, participating in the caravan was an excellent opportunity to approach our municipality with the federal government.
