The Ministry of Education (MEC), through the Secretariat of Basic Education (SEB), will make available, on April 2, literacy materials and Portuguese language for the continuing education of education professionals in the early years of elementary school. The release will be on a live, transmitted by, at 14h.
The initiative is part of the program that seeks to ensure that all children are literate by the end of the 2nd year of elementary school, as well as support the training of education professionals in favor of literacy from the perspective of student literacy, heterogeneity and human formation.
Literacy training materials are aimed at teachers and managers who work in the 1st and 2nd year of elementary school and those of training in Portuguese language to those who work in classrooms from 3rd to 5th grade.
All training materials will be available at, for access to municipal and state networks, as well as education professionals working in the early years of elementary school.
At Live, the SEB team will present the educational resources of the training to teachers and educational managers, which can be used in training actions in the territories. The participation of the Secretary of Basic Education of MEC, Katia Schweickardt; the Director of Teacher Training and Valuation of Education Professionals, Rita Esther; the Director of Policies and Guidelines for Basic Integral Education, Alexsandro Santos; One of the organizers of the 1st and 2nd year material, Renata Frauendorf; and one of the organizers of the material from 3rd to 5th grade, Telma Ferraz Leal.
