Beneficiaries provide TV Retransmission services in AC AL MA MG PA PB PE PR RO SC and TO ordinances of the Ministry of Communications MCom were published in the Official Federal Gazette DOUThis Tuesday 8 the Ministry of Communications MCom assigned 51 digital channels to broadcasters operating in the states of Acre Alagoas Maranho Minas Gerais Par Paraba Pernambuco Paran Rondnia Santa Catarina and Tocantins. Altogether the new television programming with superior image and sound quality will reach the population of 45 cities. The institutions covered are already authorized to run the Retransmission of Television RTV service. The ordinances were published in the Official Gazette of the Union.The state benefiting from more channels was Maranho which will have 21. Consignments are governed in particular by the provisions of the Brazilian Telecommunications Code CBT and Decree 58202006. Broadcasters before starting the service must obtain authorization to use radiofrequency and request the stations licensing from the National Telecommunications Agency Anatel.For Minas Gerais seven channels were assigned and the city of Trs Pontas will receive four. Itabira Montes Claros and Piumhi were also benefited. In Par Afu Altamira Parauapebas Redeno and Santarm in Muju dos Campos and Piraquara will have new digital programming. Check out the full list of channels below.Until December 2023 the authorization holders will be able to keep both analog and digital channels in operation. At the end of this period analogue television will be switched off. However if they so wish broadcasters may voluntarily turn off the analogue signal before this deadline as long as the digital signal is in operation.
