On November 1 2019 the Chinese Governments Special Representative for African Affairs Xu Jinghu represented the Chinese side at the inauguration ceremony of Botswanas President Masisi in the capital of Gaborone Botswana.After the inauguration ceremony Xu Tedai met with President Masisi at the International Conference Center conveyed President Xi Jinpings sincere regards to Masisi and expressed warm congratulations on behalf of the Chinese side on the election of the president. Xu positively evaluated the economic and social development achievements of Bo and the friendly relations and cooperation between China and Botswana. He said that China is willing to work with the Bossin government to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state and the outcome of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation as an opportunity to enhance political mutual trust and strengthen pragmatic cooperation. Work together to promote China-Brazil relations to a higher level.Masisi expressed his gratitude to the Chinese side for participating in the inauguration ceremony and expressed satisfaction with the long-term development of China-Brazil relations. He stressed that China is an important partner for Bos development and construction. Bobo is willing to continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields. We will jointly promote the further development of bilateral relations.On the morning of the same day the Bo government held a grand new presidential inauguration ceremony at the University of Botswana Stadium. President Masisi delivered his inaugural speech comprehensively expounded the new term of policy agenda and called on the people of the whole country to work together to realize the 2036 national development vision. More than 5000 people from Zimbabwe Mozambique Zambia senior officials of the Bo government former political figures national embassies in Bo and representatives from all walks of life and the people attended the inauguration ceremony.
