The reconstruction included not only the redevelopment of premises and the replacement of communications, but also the renewal of communication and automation systems, electrical networks. A barracks, a sports and gym, a first-aid post, a control center, a concert hall - everything from pipes to lighting is new in the building. The construction of a kennel for service dogs is nearing completion. The work was carried out by construction trust No. 14.

The management of the border group is the brain and heart of the military unit. You have in your hands the planning, organization, control and coordination of border protection," Ivan Krupko emphasized at the opening.
The real highlight of the building was the museum. It is divided into two blocks: history and modernity. Here is the diorama "Battle for the Dnieper", elements of the uniforms of border guards of different years up to the Middle Ages, models of unmanned aerial systems, samples of weapons, military awards.
During the opening, the chairman of the regional executive committee noted that for eight years, eight modern units were actually rebuilt from scratch on the site of the Gomel border group and put up for border protection. Several more objects are next in line.
Construction work is underway at several facilities of the border structure. I have no doubt that the experience of interaction gained during the implementation of this project will allow us to successfully complete them in the shortest possible time and with high quality.
