The reduction of excess construction facilities and the fulfillment by the land management department of the tasks assigned to it were discussed at a meeting of the Gomel City Executive Committee.As of March 1 there were 33 objects of excess construction in the regional center Olga Kulago head of the construction department noted in the report. Last year the list of unfinished buildings was replenished with five facilities three have already been put into operation a group of residential buildings remained in the quarter of Polesskaya - Kirov - Dokutovich streets it is planned to be completed by 2025 and the building of the medical and physical education dispensary on Bykhovskaya Street. This year a medical consultative and diagnostic center for Mazurov was added but the customer assures that the work will be completed in 2023.A list of objects that in the coming years should be removed from the category of unfinished has been compiled. For example the unfinished diagnostic center on The Lizyukov Brothers Street will be demolished and a parking lot is planned to be built in its place. The production building SALEO-Gomel on The Economic Street will be put up for sale. It was decided to raze the arboretum along Krupskaya Street to the ground - the condition no longer allows it to be repaired.The reasons for the appearance of unfinished buildings are simple the construction deadlines are not met due to irregular financing the work previously accepted by the contractor needs to be re-performed and the design and estimate documentation cannot be performed in the declared amount.There are enough facilities in the city that have been standing for more than a dozen years and attempts to introduce them have not even been made. It is necessary to draw up a roadmap in which to indicate specific deadlines and those responsible for putting the facility into economic circulation said the Chairman of the city executive committee Vladimir Privalov.The head of the land management department Sergey Karpushenko said that systematic work is underway in the regional center to provide land plots to those in need. Last year 125 plots were issued in Romanovichi and Pribor Zapadnaya this year - already 27. In these areas of individual residential development 108 plots are included in the list of unoccupied. In addition there are another 218 in reserve which in the near future will meet the needs of all comers. At the same time the amount of free land is decreasing every year so the reserve may decrease in the future. In order to avoid such a situation it is necessary to know the territories that can be offered to citizens. Vladimir Privalov noted before considering new areas for individual residential development it is necessary to improve the existing ones to lay the necessary networks. Separately attention should be paid to the appearance not to build houses with peculiar architectural solutions but to adhere to a single style.
