Opening the event Alexander Lukyanov First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union emphasized that young people have a unique opportunity to participate in the formation of the countrys strategic lawsStarting from October 21 the Belarusian Republican Youth Union has been holding dozens of dialogue platforms to discuss the most important conceptual bills for our republic on the All-Belarusian Peoples Assembly on civil society and public associations as well as the draft National Security Concept. And the main task of these dialogue platforms is to show young people that they have a direct opportunity to participate in the formation of such basic strategic laws that will subsequently affect the entire life of our country and their lives in particular. I am convinced that the best ideas and creative approach of the Belarusian youth will be reflected in these basic laws.During the event discussion of topical topics took placemilitary-political situation around Belarusdraft National Security Concept of Belarus - new provisions and changes national identity historical truth social responsibility of citizens development of nuclear energy protection of personal datathe determining role of the All-Belarusian Peoples Assembly in society and its powerslegal foundations for party building and development of civil society in the country - draft laws On Civil Society and On Amending Laws on the Activities of Political Parties and Other Public Associationsholding a public discussion of draft laws on the site Legal Forum of Belarus and the technology of citizens participation in this discussion.Director of the National Center for Legislation and Legal Research Vadim Ipatov Deputy Director of NCPI Irina Chuprakova political scientist Alexander Shpakovsky acted as experts of the thematic discussion.The discussion was held in a mixed format - offline and by connecting regions via video link. The participants noted the constructive nature of the meeting and the undoubted benefits of direct communication.
