The Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday the development of an integrated package of ID card-related e-services by the Information and e-Government Authority.The electronic services introduced per the Cabinet approval on December 20 of digital transformation of some services of the Interior Ministry including 14 ID card-related services via the e-government portal. Along with the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.The services through Bahrain.bh serves citizens and residents including the whole family that require access through the e-key to get ID details of the individual and his family members. Along with comprehensive services that allow applying for ID cards for domestic workers and children below four. The new facilities allow booking and inquiring about appointments issuing unique ID numbers for newborns and getting feedback on the progress of submitted applications with the possibility to amend them.The package includes advanced services including updating the data on the ID chip amending addresses validating printing and getting statements about the residential addresses.The average time to process the digital application is 5 minutes of applying attaching documents updating information and submitting the application.The digital transformation eliminates the use of paperwork reduces the number of in-person issuance of ID card appointment and minimize the period of applying from 20 to 5 minutes
