Chief of Public Security Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan has received Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament David McAllister. Head of the European Union Delegation to Bahrain residing in Riyadh Patrick Simonet Member of the Council of Representatives MP Abdullah Al Thawadi and Interior Ministry officials attended the meeting.The Chief welcomed the guest asserting the importance of such visits and meetings in reinforcing security cooperation between the two sides. The meeting reviewed topics of common interest.He briefed on the Interior Ministry efforts to promote security and safety and highlighted the directives of the Interior Minister to protect security and stability through training hi-tech equipment and experiences of developed countries.He also highlighted the role of the community police in promoting community partnership and contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic.The European official inspected an exhibition held on the sideline of the visit showcasing samples of weapons and explosives used by terrorist groups. The exhibits that also include items and tools to target police personal were confiscated during security operations
