Transparency, traceability and legal certainty are among the central principles of the archives. Dr. Brigitte Rigele, Director of the Vienna City and State Archives, emphasizes: Transparency is very important to us. It is therefore important to us that the citys key decisions are not only preserved in the long term, but are also available to the public at all times for information thanks to professional expertise. The head of the state parliament and municipal council documentation in the Vienna City and State Archives, Dr. Barbara Steininger, and her team - consisting of Claudia Pieler, Daniela Stern and Sabine Kudin - are proud that Infodat Vienna has contributed to Vienna achieving first place several times as the most transparent municipality in Austria in an audit by Transparency International Austria. We have so far continuously expanded Infodat Vienna in terms of content aspects and technical innovations and will continue to do so, says Dr. Barbara Steininger.
