The plans of the Austrian Federal Railways OBB to expand the Austrian rail network are being discussed by the National Council on the basis of the OBB master plan. According to this report investments of 19 billion are planned by 2028.According to Transport Minister Leonore Gewessler the focus of the investment plan is not only the implementation of major construction projects but also the creation of accessibility the creation of better framework conditions for freight transport by rail and the expansion of connecting railways.In the Greater Vienna area the offer for ParkRide and BikeRide is being further expanded according to the Minister in the National Councils Transport Committee.
