π Tender Overview
For OBB, it is important that its passengers can rely on the fact that the desired train is running and arriving on time. Due to delivery delays for new trains, there have unfortunately been repeated delays or cancellations in recent weeks. ΓBB not only apologizes for this, but is now taking measures at short notice.
In order to increase reliability and punctuality, timetables will be adjusted on some routes in the eastern region from 12 February 2024, and connections will be thinned out. Only regional traffic in Vienna and Lower Austria is affected. Overall, the service will be reduced by 1.9%, 50 of 2,700 daily commuter trains will not be offered until further notice.
The timetable adjustments at a glance:
The S 3 will run between Korneuburg and Floridsdorf 84 times a day instead of 102. This means that a 30-minute interval will be maintained on this route. From Korneuburg, passengers can also switch to the half-hourly REX 3 to Floridsdorf.
R 40: On the connection from St. AndrΓ€-WΓΆrdern to Vienna Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof, the timetable including S 40 will be reduced from 116 to 108 trains. Alternatively, passengers can switch to the S 40, which runs every half hour.
Between Vienna β Wiener Neustadt β Deutschkreutz or on the Franz-Josefs-Bahn in the direction of GmΓΌnd, four trains will run with single-deck sets instead of double-decker trains.
These changes will apply from 12 February and in any case until Easter and can be found in the SCOTTY timetable information. In addition, ΓBB will actively inform about the changes on trains and at stations in the affected regions.
In the coming weeks, ΓBB will also carry out a detailed review of the fleet and timetable and at the same time hold talks with its suppliers and workshops so that they can return to their usual reliability.
