A construction project with a really difficult framework conditions on the B146 A new construction project (March 21, 2025). On the one hand, the Enns, on the other hand, also a OBB bridge project- from next Monday on the B 146, Gesausstrasse, in the market town of Admont A construction project that has been very challenging from the planning. The last bottleneck on the entire B 146 is at the entrance to the Gesahrs. The construction work will start from next Monday, which are planned until the final completion until the summer of next year. The currently between 4.60 and 5.30 meters wide road will be expanded to a consistently 6.25 meter wide road. For the mandatory traffic ongoing throughout the construction period, it is initially necessary to stabilize the river rim by reinforcing the retaining walls before the start of the mountain extension, to improve the lines with a continuous edge beam and to broaden the roadway.
Due to the special location of the street section in the Nature reserve I - Gesausche and subsequent Ennstal, in the European Protection Area of Ennstaler Alpen and of course in the Gesause National Park, special attention must be paid to nature conservation. Therefore, all construction measures must be carried out exclusively on the street. Support wall , project manager Karlheinz Lang from the A16, transport and state building, describes the difficult framework conditions. The construction project is divided into four construction phases. Up to and including June 30, construction work (reinforcement of the two existing retaining walls, manufacture of an anchor beam between the existing retaining walls, construction of a continuous edge beam) are carried out exclusively on the river -side left side of the road (phase 1 + 2). From July 1st, traffic on the river -side lanes will be led and started with the mountain safety work and the road widening (construction phase 3). This work must be completed by November 30th, until then the traffic with traffic lights will be regulated. Lang: From December 1st, the section must again be accessible with oncoming traffic over the winter on a road width of 5.50 meters. Before the start of the construction phase 4 in the next start, namely the completion of the project, a residual lane width of 3.50 meters and a traffic light control will be set up again.
