These closures are needed for ongoing tunnel repairs.One eastbound lane in the tunnel will be closed during overnight hours from Sunday May 5 through Thursday May 9 from 11 p.m. each night through 5 a.m. the following morning. These closures are needed for ongoing tunnel repairs.Traffic entering the westbound tunnel to New Jersey will be temporarily held on Thursday May 9 beginning at 1015 a.m. for approximately 20 minutes to accommodate a special event.George Washington BridgeOne lane on the bridges upper-level eastbound side will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday May 3 through 6 a.m. Saturday May 4 and from 11 p.m. Saturday May 4 through 6 a.m. Sunday May 5.The Palisades Interstate Parkway ramp southbound and Hudson Terrace will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday May 3 through 10 a.m. Saturday May 4 and from 10 p.m. Saturday May 4 through 10 a.m. Sunday May 5.Broadway southbound between 178th and 179th streets at the bridge will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday May 3 through 8 a.m. Saturday May 4.Bayonne BridgeThe bridge will be closed from 1159 p.m. Friday May 3 and reopen by 8 a.m. Saturday May 4 for ongoing construction activities.The bridge will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning Monday through Thursday night May 6 through May 8.One lane on the bridges northbound roadway into Bayonne or one lane on the bridges southbound roadway into Staten Island will be closed Monday through Friday May 6 through May 8 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.Goethals BridgeTo accommodate upgrades to the bridges toll collection system expect construction work in the toll plaza areas and intermittent overnight bridge lane closures.
