π Tender Overview
We continue to build a network of safe educational spaces in the Kharkiv region. Our priority is to reach as many children as possible with offline learning in a safe environment. The commissioning of a modern shelter on the basis of the Savinsky Lyceum made it possible to organize a mixed educational process for more than 350 students. Currently, 23 underground schools are already functioning in the region. Another 13 facilities are under construction. This will provide 100,000 of our children with safe learning conditions. I am grateful to the Government, the Office of the President, relevant ministries and international partners for their help and support in the construction of protective structures, said Oleg Sinegubov.
The shelter is designed for more than 400 people. The building was equipped with a modern system of water supply, storage and drainage, ventilation and heating. Classes are equipped with modern multimedia equipment and educational materials. For stable operation during long-term blackouts, the educational institution is equipped with a 160 kW generator. The safe space is designed taking into account the principles of barrier-free accessibility - a tactile surface is placed, convenient handrails, tables with Braille, as well as elevators are installed.
As a result of the hostilities, only one lyceum survived in our community. We accumulated all our efforts, assembled a teaching staff and now we can carry out training in a shelter. We got into the experimental project of academic lyceums. Our lyceum is one of 150 pilot schools in Ukraine. We are receiving additional equipment from the state for 10 million hryvnias to create laboratories and offices. Another 2 million will be used to create a center for the protection of Ukraine, Lyceum director Gennady Klyuev said.
School buses are provided for students and teachers from remote settlements.
