π Tender Overview
The Las Residentas Road Corridor viaduct completed the assembly of its 48 main beams, a progress that brings closer the enabling of a new elevated connection to speed up the exit of traffic from the center of Luque towards Asuncion and reduce congestion in the area around Nu Guasu and Silvio Pettirossi Avenue. The structure is made up of eight spans, each with six longitudinal beams. The prestressed pieces have variable lengths of between 22 and 28 meters, adapted to the curvature of the route, and weigh between 20 and 30 tons, so their installation required the deployment of high-capacity cranes. Next stage With the main beams already positioned, the construction front prepares to begin the assembly of the prefabricated prefabricated slabs. These elements will be placed with the support of cranes and will function as formwork for the subsequent loading of the deck slab, the final surface on which the vehicles will circulate. The elevated road was conceived as a unidirectional connection that will function as a U return, facilitating the movement of those traveling from Luque *(Tape Tuja)* towards Asuncion and helping to decongest one of the points of greatest vehicular demand in the area. More fluidity to traffic The intervention seeks to improve circulation at the intersection of Tape Tuja with the Silvio Pettirossi Highway, in the Nu Guasu park area, through an alternative that will allow for ordering vehicular movements and reducing existing points of conflict in this section. The work is carried out by Benito Roggio e Hijos S.A. The project has financing from Itaipu Binacional and supervision from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).
