📋 Tender Overview
In the absence of roads, the Defense sector puts its logistical capabilities at the service of the populationIn places where roads do not reach, air transport is a key tool to bring State services closer and, as part of that commitment, Army and Air Force aircraft make their capabilities available - permanently - to bring help and hope to the population that needs it most.
In this framework, the Army Aviation transported nine tons of food from the School Feeding Program (PAE) to the province of Purus, in Ucayali, to guarantee the continuity of the food service received by hundreds of schoolchildren in one of the most isolated areas of the country.
The operation was carried out in coordination between the Defense sector and the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (MIDIS), using a fixed-wing aircraft that covered the Pucallpa-Purus route.
The transfer made it possible to supply the programs warehouses in a timely manner, despite the difficulties of land access that characterize this Amazonian province. Thanks to the operational capabilities of the Army Aviation, the food was able to arrive in time to ensure the attention of the beneficiary students.
Likewise, from a Spartan C-24J aircraft, the Peruvian Air Force carried out the first aerial delivery of humanitarian aid in Purus, as part of the Wings of Hope social support program.
During the operation, 1.5 tons of essential supplies were delivered, while six military paratroopers ensured the reception and distribution of aid.
With this type of missions, the Defense sector puts its air resources and the logistical capacity of the Armed Forces at the service of the population, contributing to essential social programs reaching the most remote communities in the country.
