📋 Tender Overview
The Regional Government of Arequipa, led by Dr. Rohel Sanchez Sanchez, intensifies double shift work on the Majes - Lluta - Huambo, Cayma - Cabrerias - Pampa Canahuas and San Gregorio - Sahuani highways, with the aim of completing these important works during this year. These projects will strengthen connectivity between neighboring provinces and regions, reduce travel times and contribute to the economic, productive and tourist development of the population.
On the Majes - Lluta - Huambo highway, located in the province of Caylloma, the asphalt priming work was completed between kilometers 36+420 and 38+500 in both lanes. In parallel, construction work on ditches, sewer heads, installation of corrugated metal pipes for drainage, controlled blasting, cutting of slopes and shaping of subgrade, subbase and granular base are carried out. In addition, a second shift is carried out for the transportation of material and elimination of surpluses generated by blasting work.
On the Cayma - Cabrerias - Pampa Canahuas road, work is progressing according to the established schedule. Currently, priming and ditch construction work is being carried out, while the next stage includes the paving of the 51 kilometers of highway that will connect Arequipa with important tourist and productive corridors in the south of the country. This work will significantly reduce travel times between Arequipa, Puno and Cusco, also strengthening tourism activity.
For its part, on the San Gregorio - Sahuani highway, which connects the provinces of Castilla and Camana, base, subbase and priming work continues as part of the comprehensive improvement of the road. This infrastructure will strengthen the integration between the coast and the mountains, facilitating the transportation of agricultural products and boosting the economy of both provinces.
With these actions, the Regional Government of Arequipa accelerates the execution of strategic road works to close infrastructure gaps, improve regional connectivity and provide greater development opportunities to thousands of Arequipa families.
