π Tender Overview
The Regional Government of Arequipa maintains work on the Virgen de Chapi bridge, an important component of the Arequipa-La Joya Regional Road, currently carrying out work to empty reinforced concrete New Jersey type separators, as well as the conditioning of the infrastructure for the beginning of the priming and asphalting work of the road.
In parallel, cleaning and adaptation work is carried out on the work, preparing the necessary conditions for the placement of the flexible pavement on both carriageways of the bridge, one of the most important stages for its commissioning.
Likewise, the execution of vertical and horizontal signage is scheduled, fundamental elements to guarantee safe and orderly circulation of vehicles and pedestrians once the construction work is completed.
Once these works are completed, the Virgen de Chapi bridge will be integrated with the Nueva Molina road, allowing a direct connection to the Panamericana Sur highway. This important infrastructure will contribute to decongesting vehicular traffic on the bypass road, optimizing entry and exit from the city of Arequipa, reducing travel times and improving road safety. In this way, it will benefit thousands of users who use this strategic corridor daily, also promoting the economic, commercial and social development of the region.
