The IMP held technical tables with the districts of Eastern Lima to evaluate zoning proposals, strengthen territorial analysis and advance towards the consultative stage of the Urban Development Plan.This week, the Metropolitan Planning Institute (IMP), a body attached to the Municipality of Lima, developed Working Groups in the seven municipalities that make up the metropolitan interdistrict area of Lima East, with the purpose of reviewing the zoning proposals corresponding to the process of preparing the Urban Development Plan (PDU) of said jurisdiction.
Managers and officials from the areas of urban development, cadastre, economic development and other departments of the district municipalities of Ate, San Juan de Lurigancho, Chosica, Chaclacayo, Santa Anita, El Agustino and La Molina participated in the sessions. The sessions were characterized by a rigorous technical analysis, where municipal representatives contributed their local experience in territorial management, economic development and cadastral planning.
The methodology used, based on the use of geospatial tools and the IMP work viewer, facilitated an accurate visualization of the proposals for zoning modifications by intensities, in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Development Law and the Regulations of the Metropolitan Development Plan - PLANMET 2040, approved by Ordinance No. 2785 in November 2025, promoting an informed and constructive discussion.
Within an approximate period of ten days, the municipalities will submit their formal observations, giving way to the next phase: the consultative process of the Urban Development Plan of Lima East.
