π Tender Overview
Starting on Tuesday the 5th, Huawei will offer free courses, as part of its commitment to the Executive, through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, to train 15,000 local digital talents by 2027.
The courses, which end on December 17th, will be offered in a hybrid format (in-person and virtual), with the in-person course being held at Huaweis Technology Center in Luanda - Talatona. To date, more than 4,000 talents in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have participated in the courses offered by Huawei. Between March and August of this year, courses were offered in the areas of 5G, cybersecurity, data storage and transmission.
The great reception and acceptance led Huawei to add more courses at the end of this year. The training is divided into two types of courses: for professionals with basic ICT knowledge and introductory courses for all Angolans, focusing on general subjects such as basic ICT notions, project management, leadership, among others.
The Memorandum of Understanding between Huawei and the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication for the training of 15,000 local digital talents in five years was signed in 2022, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Joao Lourenco.
