The Federal Republic of Germany intends to increase cooperation with Angola in the technological field.The information was disclosed by the German ambassador Dirk Llke this Thursday 22 July at the Presidential Palace where he was received in audience by the President of the Republic Joo Loureno. The German diplomat at the end of his mission after fulfilling a three-year mandate considers Angola an important partner with which his country cooperates in the fight against corruption through the European Union an organization in which Germany is part .Dirk Llke was optimistic about the future of cooperation between Angola and Germany taking into account the agreements signed during the visit to Berlin of the President of the Republic Joo Loureno in August 2018 as well as during the visit to Luanda by the Chancellor Angela Merkel in February of last year. According to the ambassador Germany will receive 30 scholarship holders from the Ministry of Mineral Resources Oil and Gas who will study geology and mineralogy there and is willing to receive more Angolan students at its universities. Due to the crisis accused by COVID-19 last year trade with Angola reached 120 million euros a value below expectations.
